News from Guatemala and Arizona

I heard from Renee and all is well in Guatemala.  The team is weary after along night and day of travel.  They made their tight connection in Miami and had no major travel complications.

The group is in or near Antigua, Guatemala

They are ready to begin their work there: building 3 houses, running a medical clinic, providing Vacation Bible School for the local children.

The local weather forecast is for rain / thunderstorms, with highs in the 70's and lows in the 60's.

I received a text from Jim Haddix around 5PM.  The team had reached Phoenix without any complications.  They read and napped occasionally.  The temperature was 102 degrees.
They were about to drive 5 hours to the Black Mesa Navajo Nation reservation.
The forecast is for hot and sunny weather, with highs in the high 80's-high 90's, lows in the 60's.

On mission trips all are "unplugged" from technology.  Any updates will be brief and probably infrequent.  I will post information as I get it, but trust that all are well and working hard as God's hands and feet!

Thank God for their safe travels and pray for renewed energy and the ability to enlighten and be enlightened by this experience.
